Summary: Who We Are In Christ

Who We Are In Christ
~~Summary~~
"These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world." ~ John 16:33
Well my friends? What we've done is lay the basic foundation of understanding on which you can build your entire relationship with Christ in your own mind. Within this writ is the knowledge to renew your mind to some basic Truth's of who you are "In Christ".
  • You are a "new creation" IN/BY CHRIST!
  • You are TOTALLY forgiven, past, present and future, "IN/BY CHRIST"! Incredible!
  • You are made totally righteous "IN/BY CHRIST"!
  • You are already reconciled "IN/BY CHRIST"!
  • You are redeemed "IN/BY CHRIST"!
  • You are sanctified "IN/BY CHRIST"!
  • You are justified "IN/ /BY CHRIST"!
  • You are totally loved by BY CHRIST"!
  • You are part of the Body of Christ, "IN/BY CHRIST"!
  • You are a Citizen of Heaven 'IN/BY CHRIST"!
  • You already have eternal Life "IN God, "IN/BY CHRIST"!
So, my Brothers and Sisters All... Whenever you hear this fellow say, "It's all Jesus!", this contents of this book, summarized by the list above, is part of the reason I say, "It's all Jesus". Truly my family, it is all Jesus. As a rule of thumb, if anyone tries to teach you anything that requires "YOU" to do something to retain your salvation? Drop it like a rock. That teaching is deader than a hammer my friends. It's all Jesus. It's not about me... you... us... It's about Jesus. You can pack alot of meaning into three little words sometimes, can't you? Amen.

Now do me a favor. Go back to the beginning of Chapter One and read the part about the butterfly again... especially where the butterfly and God were talking... Read it slowly... Does it take on a different meaning to you now that you've read of the transformation Jesus has provided you? If it does, then the Truth in this book will be of growing and great benefit to you throughout the remainder of your earthly life. It would be best to read and re-read this book, time and time again, taking notes and praying all the while, until the reality of who you are in Christ has become who you are! My God... I have never, and will never again, experience anything like it in my mind, heart and spirit! I do pray this becomes a reality for you too!

Before we go, I'd like to tell you of a real experienced I encountered just a couple of weeks ago at the time of this writ (01/25/2009):

Due to circumstances beyond their control (maybe), I ended up with a dog. The name given her in her puppy hood was "Geish". She's some sort of Alaskan dog... very big... very powerful. To humans, she is the best natured dog! She's all the time acting like a puppy, wanting to play... plenty of energy...

But when another dog of any type or breed enters her domain, to her, one of them must die. You see, in her youth, her taskmasters were hard. They used her to dog fight. She was trained early on that every dog that comes within reach wishes to kill her... therefore she's learned to kill... It was the only way she could survive. It's like the natural part of her wants and is so loving and kind... But her nature has forever been altered because of the training she received when she was young.

Now it's needless to say, I must keep Geish tied at all times. I hate tying a dog or confining any animal. To me, it's a sad life for any creature to be all bound up, not free to do that which God intended. But because we live in a community of others, there is no choice. She must be kept, bound up by chains and 3/8 inch steel cable because of her gruesome training in her past.

Well a couple of weeks ago, and don't ask me how she did such a thing, she snapped the 3/8" cable that held her. My daughter Kalla was the first one to notice it. As she called us all to come and look, I could not believe my eyes to see her sitting across the creek here at my home (where she always stays), with about a 3 foot section of the cable still attached to the leather collar around her neck. She was walking around in her open lot just like normal, within the confines normally afforded her by her restraints... SHE DIDN'T KNOW SHE WAS FREE!

Of course I realized I had to replace the cable IMMEDIATELY! So I immediately went across the creek to splice the cable together so she could be temporarily restrained until I could get a replacement. As I approach her when taking her food to her, she always comes to the limit of the restraints and bounces up and down of her front paws, excited because I am coming. She always pulls against the cable while she bounces, wanting to come further.

But not this time. As I approached her this time, she came to the usual place where she was usually stopped by the cable. I thought to myself, "Here is when she'll realize she is free, and I'll have a very hard time catching her." But I was amazed as she stood in that very same place, with nothing holding her back nor standing in the way of her freedom, and bounced up and down just like usual. She never made an effort to go any further than the usual spot. She never knew she was free, so her opportunity passed her by without her really even realizing it.

But you know what? Later that day, my splice broke. Again she was free... Again, she didn't realize it. I found another cable designed for a smaller dog that would restrain her until I could get a replacement. Once again, I went across the creek. As I approached her, I again wondered if she would figure out she was free. You know what? She did.

The second time I went to her, she went the limit as usual, then in her excitement, she went a little further than usual. About three feet further as a matter of fact. Suddenly, she forgot the excitement of seeing me coming as she realized for the first time that there was nothing holding her... The realization came slowly to her, thank God. For I would have never caught her had she bolted from me. But her excitement was building as she went further and further with her head down investigating everything with her nose that she had not gotten to investigate before! Finally, she knew she was free...

Sadly, I had to tie her back up because her past is still who she is.

So why do I give you my two week old dog story in such a lesson as this? Because even at the very minute I first saw Geish standing in her lot with her chains broken... even at the very second I was amazed she was still there, thinking herself trapped by things of her past... The Holy Spirit ever so clearly spoke to me and told me so, so very many people are the exact same way!

Some of you are trapped in the circumstances of your past. All of us are so different, with such different pasts... Our circumstances can vary greatly, but as with ALL error... all error in understanding leads to nothing else but bondage... in your mind you may be chained more tightly than Geish ever has been.

Some of you know not the Christ. Some of you may have even been trained up to hate Christ... trained to curse His name... trained to shed the blood of those who love Him... To you, I tell you with absolute certainty that Jesus loves you and He wishes to bring your heart unto Himself... He wishes that you would invite Him into your heart as your Lord and Savior. The Christ wants you to "turn to Him". You see, when you turn to the Christ, you also turn your back on everything you ever were in yourself... all your former beliefs... all your former faiths in whatever god you were told to worship... all the bad you had ever done... turn your back on it all. After all, really, you never had a love for any of it... It despises you... Therefore my brothers and sisters, turn your back on all of it and turn to the Christ! Invite Him into your heart and everything mentioned in this book will IMMEDIATELY become a part of you, growing daily in you, until you too, are gathered unto Christ and the rest of us at the Marriage Supper of The Lamb!

Christ has already dealt with all the bad you've ever done! If the Holy Spirit knocks at your heart's door at this very moment? That is the reviving power of The Holy Spirit bringing your heart to life enough to make your choice! DO NOT turn The Christ away now! He may never return unto you! Get on your knees right now, where ever you are and say this prayer along with me, but also? Have the meaning of these words in your heart as you cry out to The Christ!

Oh Christ! Oh my Lord Jesus! Right here, right now, there is a brother or sister of mine on their knees under the unction of the Holy Spirit seeking You Jesus as Lord and Savior! Receive the heart of this brother and sister of mine that they will be saved! Eternal Life in heaven will be theirs! Life on earth will be possible! Listen to their heart as I lead them in their prayer of heart unto You, The Christ!

(Please repeat this prayer with me and have it in your heart):
My Lord... At least I want to call You "MY" Lord! To You, The Christ I call out right now in my desperation. All my life I have believed nothing, or I have believed a lie. Jesus, I no longer believe these lies. I have a strange thing within me telling me You are my Way, my Truth and my Life! Oh Christ... I have been such a curse upon the earth! I have been such a sinner... such a bad person...

But I have been told, and I believe, that You will forgive me and forget about all that, and that You will fill me with Your Spirit so I can start in all newness of LIFE! I am told You will make me... different. You will make me alive, where I have been dead. You will make me into who YOU want me to be. You will provide for me everything I need to have a real relationship with You!

To The Christ, the Son of God, I believe You died a horrible death to pay for all my sins. By doing so, I realize You took Your own Father's wrath for MY sins, and the sins of the whole world! Oh God I can't imagine anyone ever loving me enough to do such a thing! You suffered unimaginable WRATH, being deserving of none of it, just so I might Live... forever! Thank You for such love as that, for me.

Oh Jesus... The Christ! I believe You are the most powerful Son of God! I believe all other gods to be false! I humbly ask You into my heart! Oh God! I turn my back on everything I have been and I turn to YOU alone for my salvation... for my very LIFE! Come into me Jesus! Come into me, The Christ! Fill me with the Promise of Your Holy Spirit!

Ohhhh God... The Christ! Thank You! Oh Lord! My Lord... Thank You! Oh my Lord... The Christ... From this moment on... I love... and I follow... only You!

To the Christ only, will I ever pray from here, on. Praise be the Name of The Christ, the Lord Jesus Christ! Amen & Amen!

My brother or sister? If you just said that prayer above, with the meaning of it in your heart, you have been saved! Your salvation is already complete. Jesus holds you never to let you go, and The Holy Spirit has sealed you unto eternity. It's hard to grasp, I know... But true, never-the-less. As far as your salvation goes? It's all Jesus.

There is yet another group I'd like to address. These are my brothers and sisters in Christ that have given their hearts to Christ and are born again children of God... yet they have yet to understand, without error, the terms of who they are "IN CHRIST". There are a great many among the modern day church that erroneously think they have certain things that are their own responsibility to uphold to "keep" their salvation. These people think it possible to lose their salvation... their eternal life in Christ. Folks? Salvation is from God. Anything from God is eternal. If one could lose their salvation, nothing about their life could be called eternal. We'd have to scratch the word "eternal" out of our bibles and replace it with "temporary", or add the word "possibly" to eternal. That's really kinda silly isn't it?

But for these people, I pray for courage.... Courage to take a new stand in your knowledge. It takes courage to admit you've preached error for maybe over 50 years in your ministry. I did for 12 years. What's the difference between you and I? Nothing. In all cases, all we can do is man up and make our new found knowledge of the Truth part of our personal testimony of God's faithfulness to bring us to the understanding of the Truth! It does take courage... So I pray for all of you that struggle in this manner my friends.

Now all that remains is for you all in whatever your back round, is to begin your life-long process of learning and growing in the knowledge of Truth in Christ. Please... begin this book all over again. Your mind has begun a "renewing" process to where it will consecutively and progressively be brought from it's darkness into the Light. This book... or better said the Godly Truth herein, will help your mind understand Godly foundations, on which all things spiritual will be built. It does not matter how long this takes. What matters is that every Truth offered up here for your understanding become a part of who you are. Spiritually, it has already happened. That is all Jesus. But struggling with your own mind (the flesh), is an ongoing process in which you will be victorious with the faith of a mustard seed and The Holy Spirit to guide you into Truth and away from error. In the Spirit, we have already been given all things (Ephesians 1:3). But your flesh will have to learn of it before you will be free in your mind. For concerning the flesh, it is not the Truth alone that sets you free... It is the "knowledge" of the Truth that sets you free to peace that surpasses all understanding and in the Joy of your salvation through the love you'll know God has for you (John 8:31-32 ; Proverbs 23:7 ; 1Corinthians 2:14
).

There will be a great and beneficial by-product of gaining this knowledge in Truth also. Where once you were trying your best to "positively" love yourself and others in mimicking to the best of your ability the love of God, now, you can know the REAL love of God. THAT will enable you to REALLY love your enemy, instead of just "trying" or "pretending" to, to the best of your own ability. This is a short paragraph, but I'm describing something right here that will transform you in every way... if you'll let it... if you'll stop long enough to think about what I'm saying... God's love toward you is the key that opens the heavenly floodgates, my friend. I pray you find these keys, and use them.

God bless you all in your quests, chasing after the very heart of God. I trust when you get there, you'll find it quite different than anything else you'll ever encounter.

I love you all. God bless, keep and protect you all... mentally, physically and spiritually. May you always follow the path of Truth, without error. Bless the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, that provided all this to us.

Questions Answered

The love of Jesus is EVERYTHING to us! 
Shouldn't we truly understand what it has provided us?
 
 
Oh my treasured family in Christ ~ my Brothers and my Sisters All ~ I have thought long and hard about how I could possibly convey to you what this "love of Christ" is. I thank God that HE has given us the information we need as born again believers in Christ filled by His Holy Spirit, right there in your Bible. Through the power of the Holy Spirit given us to teach us and to enable us to understand spiritual things of God we would in no other way understand, I have two goals to accomplish in this chapter having to do with how you are loved by God:
  • The first goal I have is to simply identify the love of God in exactly what "It" is, according to the Bible. Where I am left speechless, God has not remained silent. He tells us much concerning His love for us. Simply put, it will be my goal to communicate to you what it is to be loved by God, by simply walking through the Word of God with you, occasionally pointing this way and that... much the way a tour guide might take you through the Holy Land of Israel, stopping occasionally to point here and there with an accompanying embellishment aimed to accomplish a better understanding of certain aspects of interest.
  • The second goal I have is to communicate to you "why" a deeper understanding of this Love of God for us all is so important to us, personally. You see, The Word of God is certainly for every born again believer in Christ. But it is also of the utmost importance that The Word of God become "intimately personal". Along with the corporate instruction of the Word, God also desires a "one on one" relationship with each and every one of us. He wants us to know we are now on a first name basis with Him. We must "KNOW" of the Love of God for us all, understand it within our minds, which will in turn make it possible for us to "be filled to the measure of ALL the fullness of God"! My family? Without understanding God's love for us, it is impossible to experience the "fullness of life" that is available to us right here, right now, right where you sit at this moment, at this very second and continuing on into eternity!
Please pray that the Holy Spirit be present with us all as we stroll through God's Garden of Love. May The Spirit open our eyes to see, our noses to smell the sweet fragrances, our ears to hear, our minds to understand, and our hearts to fully receive, the absolute TRUTH of God's Love and what It means to us personally! Our fullness of life on this earth depends on it. Together? You and I will go places with God you may have never gone before. When the following Truths become manifest in your life? You will be changed forever, and forever affected by the sheer POWER of It all. All through your entire life here on this earth, you will continually learn things about God that will have foundation right here in God's Love. EVERYTHING is built upon the foundation of the Love of God for us all... EVERYTHING! If God did not love us, there would be nothing to talk about... ever... But because God loves us all, there is cause to learn and talk about... EVERYTHING! I am excited about what we're about to read in God's Word, the Holy Bible. God bless us all as we persevere in learning more about Him!

God? Lay this foundation of rightly understanding Your Love within us all as we study Your Word together. Let this be more than just a "study". Let this become a part of us. Enable it to change us. Let us understand. We stand at Your door and knock. Please open the door to our understanding Your great love for us. In whatever You have to say my Lord Jesus, enable us to believe in faith. Thank You, Lord Jesus, for all You've done and all You continue to do... Bless Your Name. You truly are our Everything. In Jesus' Name, Amen...

Our identity in Christ is based solely upon the love of God. Everything we have learned thus far about who we are in Christ is the direct result of God's love, isn't it? It was love that motivated God to make us His children and to give us this incredible inheritance. Anytime we have doubts concerning our identity, whether it is questioning our forgiveness, wondering about our righteous standing before God, or fearing we have lost our salvation ~ what we are really questioning is God's love for us: "Does He totally love me and accept me in this situation?" We have ALL asked this question at times, and may even be asking it right now. If not now? Maybe sometime in the future. To ask and wonder about such things as these is a very normal "human" thing to do. That is why it is so important to realize that as children of God we are totally loved by God. Once and for all it has been settled. Once God gives you the Gift of His love, He NEVER takes it back. HE is 'faithful always', even when we are 'unfaithful'. THAT'S how big our God is, and THAT'S the power of the Blood of Jesus. The Blood, and equally important, His Resurrection proving that WE can now LIVE, makes way for ALL of this to be possible!

Let's begin looking at some scripture pointing out some wonderful Truth about God's love for us:
"As the Father has loved Me, so have I loved you. Now remain in My love." ~ John 15:9
Right here, Jesus "equates" His love for us with the love His Father (God) has for HIM (Jesus)!  Now how much love do you think God the Father has for His Son, Jesus Christ? Hard to answer isn't it? Kinda goes off the scale doesn't it? Whatever answer you come up with, Jesus has made it clear that HE loves US (you and I) with that very same love! Isn't that amazing? Doesn't that make you just love Him all the more?

Please listen closely... Now, because of this great love Jesus has for us ALL as born again believers in Christ, Jesus encourages us to "remain in His love". Jesus never wasted a word, when it comes to scripture's account of what He said. So what is He saying here? To "remain in His love"... what does that really mean? My family? Love will have an atomic impact on your entire life. Of this there is no doubt. But the thing Jesus is trying to tell us all here? It is, "Don't ever let there be one second in your life when you think I do not love you. This is the boundless love I have for you. NEVER forget it. It shall never end. My Blood and my eternal life examplified in My Resurrection has made this possible. From here forward, let your minds and your hearts know that they (your heart and mind in understanding) can, by faith in MY Word, 'Remain' in My love forever." Please forgive me if you think I may have overstepped any bounds in assuming any words of Christ... This is simply what The Holy Spirit has laid on "my" heart. You of course, will need to pray about this yourself for it to be a personal thing for you, also.

My Blood and My eternal Life examplified in My Resurrection has made this possible. From here forward, let your minds and your hearts know that you can, by faith in My Word, 'Remain' in My love forever."

Do you KNOW that Jesus will ALWAYS love you? 
No matter what? No matter the cost to Him?
 
 
Family? Jesus is telling us something very important here, and there is a good reason for it! Jesus is trying to tell us all that there is NOTHING we could possibly do that has not already been dealt with on His cross of Sacrifice. To think you are "not in His love", is to think you have done something BEYOND the power of His Blood! You see, if you can all of a sudden "be out of His love", then in reality, deep down inside yourself, is unbelief. It is unbelief because you think you can undo what Jesus has done. You think you have done something BEYOND the Power of The Cross ~ His Blood Sacrifice.
But thank God, the Truth of it all is, EVERYTHING was paid for at the Cross. The penalty for EVERY sin was paid by Jesus. Jesus took God's wrath for EVERY sin there was, or ever will be, once and for all ( Romans 5:7-9 ; Romans 6:10 )!  Because of this wonderful Truth Jesus has given us even before His own cross, now, you don't have to visit your booths weekly as do many in the largest organized religion in the world and countless other religions and denominations to "get your sins forgiven/absolved". No longer do you have to "continually, without end", seek God's forgiveness for ANYTHING! The moment you accepted Christ into your heart? You received His "LIFE", where you once was dead! Sin was already paid for at the cross, even before you were born again (were saved)! Now, instead of continually chasing your own tail in begging for forgiveness, you can spend your time THANKING Jesus for what He did for you, and spend more time loving, adoring and serving Him, which are all healthy aspects of a changed heart by The Holy Spirit.  No longer do you have to worry of being damned in your sin before you have a chance to once again beg for something you already have... which is God's forgiveness.

And all Jesus is saying here? He just wants you to know it's ok to let your mind "know it".  It's all Jesus, my family. It's all Jesus. Let your minds understand you are forgiven. Let your minds know that "remaining" in His love is a simple thing... because it's all HIM (Jesus). Remain in His love (which is boundless).<span> Accept it by faith</span>. He loves you now, and always will. Remain in that knowledge of His perfect love, even when our love for Him is not so perfect in this flesh (Hebrews 8:12).

Being unsure of God's love for you WILL create within you a 
multitude of emotions born of erroneous teachings and understanding.
 
 
Are there times in your life when you've wondered if God's love for you has changed? Some of you I'm sure feel the same way I used to; that every time I sinned, my relationship with God has changed... Therefore I had to ask His forgiveness to restore our relationship. Now with this knowledge and the knowledge to come, I hope you'll endeavor to understand that God's work toward our own salvation is not so easily shaken. It is of the utmost importance that we realize we really can "remain in God's love". I think you will find that one fact staggering, as it transforms your life here on this earth into something you never before thought possible! My hope and prayer for all of you is that you come to understand this Truth in your heart by The Spirit.
"Now I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with ALL the Saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge - that you may be filled to the measure of ALL the FULLNESS of GOD." ~ Ephesians 3:17-19
My family? Within this scripture lay Paul's goal for us all and why he has such a goal: That we may "have the power, together with all our Brothers and Sisters in Christ to fully understand this love Christ has for us." He wants us to "be filled to the measure of ALL the fullness of God"!

Family? The only way we can be filled to the fullness of God is to understand God's love. Now a good question to ask here is, "How can we do that when we are told in the same breath that this "surpasses" knowledge?" That's a good question. The answer is, the "knowledge" which is referenced here speaks of normal, every day "human knowledge". Folks? The worlds best lawyer will never be able to read this Bible and understand everything in it by simply analyzing the words (1Corinthians 2:14). It takes the indwelling of The Holy Spirit of God, and Him imparting the ability to understand these things "by His Spirit". Now that's easy enough said, I know. But not so easily done, sometimes. Sometimes, our head (the flesh) will wrestle with the Spirit in the head's lonely attempt to understand.

The only thing I know to say here that you might understand, is to look at scripture very carefully and let your determination hinge on EVERY word... Let NO WORD go unnoticed. Then ask the Holy Spirit to enlighten you, and enable you to believe, IN FAITH, EXACTLY what you're told. The power of God is truly the only thing that will open your HEART and your head to understanding things Godly. At all times, seek God for inward enablement to understand the Scripture as a whole, that you may become firmly rooted in your God given identity in Christ. Your identity in Christ and your relationship with God in God's love go hand in hand. You couldn't separate the two if you tried (and some people do - try, that is).

As children of God, Paul himself prays that you and I be "rooted and established" in God's love. To be established in something means to be firmly set in place. Paul also prays that you and I have the power to realize the scope of God's love in all it's vastness! My brothers and sisters? We can't "live" in what we do not understand. God knows this and Paul knew it. So Paul is trying to tell us something very important here. He's trying to explain an aspect of God's Truth that can change our lives, if we so let it and have the courage to believe it, no if's, and's or but's.

In the above passages of Ephesians 3:17-19, Paul prays for our own, personal, "power".  For what? To grasp (understand and possess) the immeasurable dimensions of God's love. Family? I know plenty of people that think this impossible. And maybe? Just maybe going into infinity with God may be an impossibility at this time. But I propose to you, scripture tells us we can go much further in our knowledge and possession of God's love than many of us think possible. But we'll never get there apart from the "power of God" to do so. Every time we reach a new plateau in our understanding? Our lives will again reflect a change that endures forever. So, can you begin to realize how important this "power" to understand God's love is to us?
In our own lives, Our understanding of God's love may "surpass our knowledge" to understand when we sin. It is a "natural-fleshly" thing to think God's love for us will change for us when we sin. After all, everything we've ever been taught in this world teaches us that people's feelings change about us when we wrong them in some manner. Therefore, it's only "natural" to think God is the same way.
We may even be further confused by God's reactions to sin in the Old Covenant accounts of history. God definitely established (there's that word again) Himself as a God that HATES sin and that He will severely punish EVERY sin! So, for those of us living in the Old Covenant understanding, or even bringing very small amounts of that Covenant with us in our New Covenant understanding, will most certainly find it impossible to understand what this New Covenant scripture is telling us about God's love toward us.

But thank God, that right here and right now, through the study of His Word, we WILL come to understand that the love of God that surpasses any normal understanding and that same understanding will enable us to let it become a vital part of our day-to-day experience of "walking in the Spirit".

The results of knowing and experiencing God's love will give us so many things: Peace that surpasses all understanding; the ability to deal with ANYTHING that comes our way in this hurting, lonely, perverse and dying world in a Godly manner; and MOST IMPORTANTLY, the ability to pass this love of God on to others! If you'll remember, I stated that it's impossible for you to give what you do not know you have. Think of it my family? Next to your own personal benefit, what is the most important thing to this dying world we live in? Is it not to come to know the Love of God, Jesus Christ, Himself?

 
 
 
Family? Where the world almost never listens to what we say, they will almost always recognize what we do. NOTHING projects Itself on the heart of another person like the love of God if it is shown in Truth and full understanding, empowered by The Holy Spirit. That is the "light" within you that the Bible speaks of so much. Wouldn't you like to understand It enough to "show" it to others? Wouldn't you really like to understand how to let that Light of God's Love within you shine forth like a lighthouse in the middle of the storm? Amen. I know you do... I very much know you do. However, your answers won't lay in reading book after book telling you how to "act". Your success in all this will come strictly from knowing in your head and your heart how God feels about YOU, and what HE has "established" in you! From that very knowledge alone, will come your ability to love yourself and others like you never before thought possible! And the best part about it? You wouldn't be able to hide it from the world if you tried. Your heart will be changed that much!

Christ tells us to remain in His love. However, we cannot understand how high and wide and deep and long Christ's love for us truly is through our finite minds. How can the finite understand the infinite?
As 1Corinthians 2:9-10 states, "No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love Him."
~~~... but God has revealed it to us by His Spirit! God has given us the power to understand and experience His love for us through His Holy Spirit. But what exactly is the love of God? Let's take a look at the definition of love in the Bible and see exactly how God loves us! Ya want to? Alrighty then! Amen!

"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the Truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres..." - 1Corinthians 13:4-7
Many of us here in the United States have heard this verse many times. I think I've heard it read by every preacher in every marriage ceremony I've ever attended. Some of us have had it in our Sunday school lessons while we struggle to keep from yawning in the middle of the class on a morning we had to get up way too early!

But what I pray for right here and right now? Is that we all, as we endeavor to understand this love of God for US, is that the true POWER of what's been said here FINALLY come to rest in our hearts and minds, that our life in Christ can truly go to the next level! May we ALL set our past encounters with this scripture aside, and look for that "something special" that is going to just blow you away, right here and right now!

There are also many of you on the other side of this world that have NEVER encountered this scripture and what I'm about to tell you concerning God's love for you... Yes... YOU! This is half of what we'll be talking about here... YOU! This is how God feels about YOU, no matter what you've done in your past, or how long you did it! It doesn't matter how long you cursed God in the presence of others! It doesn't matter how long you've ignored Him! It doesn't matter how long you lived for evil in evil ways! None of it matters! What matters now, is that you love God and you're wanting to learn more about HIM! Well God bless you my Brothers and my Sisters! Hold on! You're about to go someplace incredible with God, and no other imagination in this world that has ever called themselves god could have ever had such a thing for you!

Ok... Now. Concerning the scripture above in 1Corinthians 13:4-7 ;

The most common application of these verses centers on how we should love each other. First and foremost, however, 1Corinthians 13 describes how "GOD LOVES US"! Oh my Lord Jesus! Folks? Stop what you're doing if you have anything distracting you from this message and listen to what I just said to you! This scripture tells US how God loves US! Now be thinking on something: According to this scripture, how exactly does God love YOU? Stop and ponder that, and then let us move on.

The Bible tells us that God is love (1John 4:7-9). To help you gain a deeper understanding of God's love, re-read these verses, but this time substitute "God" for the word "love"! Now, let's chronicle together each characteristic of God's love, placing the words "with me" at the end. Don't worry. It's ok if while doing so, you might get a little something in your eye? Or you might just flat out cry like a new born baby. It's ok. Real people cry when overwhelmed... Being overwhelmed in the love of God is one of the most fantastic things that will ever happen to us as human beings. So? Yeah. It's ok. Go ahead and have a good cry through all this if you feel the need, and may God anoint your tears of faith as they baptize you in a Spirit filled life changed forever as you walk in the Spirit! Amen!
  • God is patient 'with me'.
  • God is kind 'to me'.
  • God does not envy 'me'.
  • God is not proud 'with me'.
  • God is not rude 'to me'.
  • God is not self-seeking 'with me'.
  • God is not easily angered 'with me'.
  • God keeps no record of wrongs 'concerning me'!
  • God does not delight in evil, but rejoices because of the Truth 'in me'!
  • God always protects 'me'!
  • God ALWAYS trusts 'ME'!
  • God always HOPES 'for me'!
  • God ALWAYS PERSEVERES 'with me'!
Oh my precious Lord Jesus Christ! Folks? Will you take a while to meditate on these 13 powerful things concerning God's love? Do you have the faith to believe the miraculous POWER of God's TRUTH He has just told you here? Do you have the faith to believe the Truth of God's Word when He actually says that He no longer keeps any record of wrongs concerning you? Do you? If so, you MUST realize there is nothing left that could possibly ever condemn you before God! And you know what? It's not about you at all, is it? It's about God! It's about Jesus! It's about the POWER in what Jesus did! It's all about CHRIST! Not you! You couldn't undo any of this if you tried! Even if you never come to understand the powerful Truths in the scripture above, you'll never change the TRUTH of it all! The Truth is the Truth, and the Truth is, everything about your relationship with God is eternal, never to be undone, AND IT'S ALL BECAUSE OF JESUS! IT'S ALL JESUS!

Some of you will accept these beautiful Truths of God's love instantly! In a large way, I know who'll you'll be and where you are. Even though life may be a continual struggle to keep your physical life safe because of the change that has happened and is happening in your hearts, you will clutch these Truths closest to your heart and you will guard them, even if it means you must die. Some of you will hide this within your heart until such time as others around you will come to understand and accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior because to reveal your heart for Christ would mean certain death for you, and that is PERFECTLY understandable to me, and to God, despite what anyone else may tell you or how you feel! For all of you, please know my prayers and the prayers of many other anointed ones around this globe will be going up to GOD on YOUR behalf for your protections mentally, physically and spiritually! For you, my Brothers and Sisters, your victory is sure! God will never forsake you, nor will we!

For those that choose religion over relationship and 
the TRUTH of God's Word, bondage will be your due.
 
 
But there are others, mainly here in the Unites States that I am aware of, and other places and countries where perhaps Catholicism is the rule of the day, that will struggle with this for quite some time. For many of you, it will be a hard thing to realize that God's love and acceptance of you has already been settled. For many of you, the way you perform, you "think", will transversely affect the relationship between you and God. For you, I and the ones mentioned above will pray that the Holy Spirit will lead your mind and heart on a journey where the "knowledge of the Truth will set you FREE" in your spirit, in THIS earthly life! Your spiritual life in eternity has already been settled, whether you'll realize it on this earth or not. In THAT, we will rejoice, but we will continue to pray for your "freedom" in your here-and-now understanding.
There is a very dear Sister of mine that currently lives in the Dominican Republic. She recently wrote to me with one of the most surprising attitudes. I say it was surprising to me because she is the first one I've literally encountered that shared this thing I'm about to explain with me... "Shared"... past tense... We used to have this thing in common, but thank God, no more. As of today, we have both been set free, but allow me to explain.

This dear sister wrote to me saying a great many things. Among them was the facts of how much she loved Jesus. For me to explain the circumstance of this dear Sis, would be beyond many's ability to believe. But suffice it to say, this girl and certain members of her family have paid dearly for the passion of Christ within them. But they have done so with smiles on their faces. If they had it to do over? They would do it all again, and again and again.

But I could tell this Sister loved the Lord with a passion I've found rare. She loves Him with all her being, but she didn't know it was possible that Jesus would forgive her lifetime with allah. She didn't think it was possible that Jesus would actually forgive her for speaking against Christ for so many years. But somehow, the Holy Spirit had led her heart into an eternal love for Christ. She actually told me that when she passed from this world into Hell, she would spend her eternity in her misery, singing songs of praise and adoration to Christ Jesus! Folks? Say what you will. This kind of passion that simply loves Christ for Who He is and not what He will give you is highly uncommon in my experience. I mean, it does exist within the hearts of certain people, but this kind of passion isn't found in everyone, by a long shot.

So what did I have in common with her? Great question.

In my own previous understanding, I was born again. When first I was saved, I somehow knew Christ was going to take care of me and my family spiritually, and grant me everything He wished so I could be what He wanted. Among saving my soul and my wife's soul, He was going to set our crooked paths straight... Somehow.

As my unquenchable thirst for learning God's Word flamed within me, I began studying with full time fervor... But the more I learned, the more I was taught that certain things hinged on how "I" did... how I "performed"... I learned more and more that I had a certain amount I HAD to live up to to keep my salvation. And when I sinned? I was taught I had to get on my knees and beg God's forgiveness, which of course He was more than willing to give, but I had to ask for it to happen.

Well? I could never make that intersect with the fact that I had "eternal life" for sure. I mean, I thought I now had a "better" chance at being saved because I had accepted Christ and loved Him... but I increasingly knew I was incapable of holding up "my end" of the deal. At any given time, Christ could split the eastern sky and catch me in a sin I had not yet asked to be forgiven of...

Therefore, I too had the attitude that, if I made it to Heaven, that would be wonderful. But if something happens that I do not, I'll do what I can for Jesus while I'm on this earth anyways, and I'll praise Him in eternity, even if it was in Hell.  So... You see. This beautiful Sister and I had alot in common. Neither of us "knew" we were going to Heaven to spend eternity.

Now I try to be as careful as I can to let scripture interpret life. I am diligent never to let life interpret scripture. In this case, I didn't come to all the understanding I have in this book just to accommodate continual sin in my life. Neither should you EVER concoct a doctrine to accommodate a sinful lifestyle! NEVER!

But there is nothing wrong in the Truth of God's Word. And the Truth here is? GOD alone settles our eternity's "once and for all"! HE has settled the score with sin! JESUS justified the books and paid all the penalties! THEN, He rose from the death of His perfect sacrifice to LIVE FOREVER, and He has given us ALL that very same LIFE! ETERNAL LIFE IN CHRIST! Glory to God for the power in the TRUTH of it all!

So? I and my sister now understand our passions are not going to be wasted. Our passions will forever - eternally be audible as we spend our eternity's in Heaven with Christ Jesus! And you know what? If you're born again? You will too, whether or not you know or understand it! Now THAT'S what I call a God! No one else ever calling themselves god could ever even dream such a thing! That's Grace and Mercy beyond any evil understanding!

I, and my sister if I may speak for her, hope that you, at this very moment right where you are, are by the power of the Holy Spirit, beginning to realize what the real definition of love in 1Corinthians 13 is really all about and that you are beginning to understand how wide, deep, long and high It really is! Knowing in your heart and your head that God no longer keeps a record of your wrongs will totally change the way you will respond to God when you sin, and you will love Him all the more in it all. Knowing within your heart, mind and Spirit that God is patient with you will assure you that God will never give up on you or waver in His Promise of eternal life to you even though you will continue to sin EVERY day!

Now. Do you think it would ever be possible for you to pass the love of 1 Corinthians 13 to others without first receiving this love yourself from God? My family? It's an impossibility. So you see, knowing the Truth of God's love for us isn't just beneficial to you. It's beneficial to the world. When you look around and see such a lack of love one for another, even among Christians that have been on the pews all of their life, have you ever wondered why that is? Of course you have. The answer is easy. It's because they've never had it to give, "as far as they knew".
"Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? As it is written: 'For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.' No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord..." ~ Romans 8:35-39
Like me, Paul did alot of talking to himself. He started the above scripture off with a question, which he decidedly answered himself. "Who shall separate us from the LOVE of CHRIST?", he asked. As he explored the possibilities, the ultimate result is breath-taking. Just take a look at all the possibilities of things that "might" be able to separate us from the love of God! Did Paul leave anything out? What about his conclusions? Were any of these things able to separate us from the love of God? Remember, it's not me saying any of this. It is the Apostle Paul, himself.

Paul suffered trouble, hardship (that's an understatement), persecution, famine, nakedness, danger, sword and ultimately, even death for his passion for Christ and the lost of this world. As time goes on, you'll no doubt become more familiar with what all Paul endured from his conversion with Christ, onward. It's a pretty incredible story. But in all of that, in all of his hardship, trials and suffering, was a Joy in him that could not be quenched... and that was purely because he PERFECTLY understood where he stood... with God. Paul didn't simply believe God loved him through it all. To Paul, God's love is an unchangeable "reality". Paul never even thought of doubting his relationship with God. He never doubted God's relationship with him, even though he told us in many scriptures of his ongoing imperfections. My family? That same confidence Paul had is available to you, right here, right now, through nothing but your own pure faith in God, void of any doubt. It is my prayer every reader come to understand what I just said here.

Does trouble of various kinds, hardships and/or persecution shake your faith in how God feels about you? Really think about that. These preachers out here preaching the "prosperity gospel"... what happens when they encounter famine or nakedness? God Forbid! SOMEbody must be lacking a little faith here, or if not that, then surely God must be punishing you for something you've done wrong! Poppy-Cock!

Danger... the sword... Folks? The sword has been, and continues to be used today to behead Christians in many parts of this world. Who among us have been tried in that fire? Believe it or not, there are people of extraordinary faith accepting Jesus into their hearts every day in hostile environments exactly like this. There are people that are still losing their physical lives because they have Christ in their hearts! Yet? The Apostle Paul says in all this, we are MORE than conquerors!

If you have not encountered such persecution? Count yourself among those that have been "guarded" against the evil in this world, but by all means, never forget to pray for the multitudes that stand to lose their life every day because of Christ. What an extraordinary passion for the Christ! God bless and protect them all spiritually, mentally and physically! And as I mentioned, if you have not encountered these things, you are guarded. Pray also for those that "guard" you against these evils. You have no idea what's at work, and who is making the sacrifices so we may remain safe!

Paul says that neither death nor life can separate us from the love of God. Are you alive today folks? For the remainder of whatever life you have left, that life will not separate you from God. Isn't that what Paul just said? Is it becoming clearer that keeping your eternal life in tact is about the One doing the keeping? It isn't me. It isn't you. It's God Almighty.

Neither Angels nor demons will snatch us away from the clutches of God. How many of us are running around thinking the demons (fallen angels) are messing up our relationship with God? Oh sure. They're going to have their influence on this world. They may even rule it more and more as the Holy Spirit withdraws His restraining power on it all... But those demons will never be able to touch you as a child of God, my friend. Darkness cannot live in the Light. Don't be deceived. As far as demons go, you have a sign around your neck that says, "Can't touch this!", signed by God, Himself (Acts 26:18).

Now, neither "present" nor the "future" can separate us from God! Did you notice that the "past" didn't even get an honorable mention here? I think it must have been fairly clear to the masses back then, as it is to the masses now, that our "past" can be dealt with easy enough through Jesus' work toward us. But there must have been, as well as it continues today, a question as to how our present-day sins and our sins of the future, how they may affect our standing with God. Is there any way we can know with certainty that the way we live today will not change our eternal life in Heaven? And better yet, can we have any certainty that our future will not hold anything in it that will trump the saving Grace of God, thus our eternal life? Can/will our eternal life be threatened by what we do in the future?

My friends, this is a place where we must endeavor to let scripture interpret life, instead of letting life interpret scripture.

In our natural selves, the flesh, it can be very easy to convince ourselves that we must "work/perform", at least in a very small way, to maintain or continually retain our salvation. It is easy to convince ourselves that at least a microscopic amount of eternity in Heaven and everlasting Life in Christ somehow depends on our free will choice to follow and/or love Christ. But please, PLEASE have the fortitude to identify the Truth within the bible and the faith to believe it when it says that our salvation is a "GIFT" of God (Ephesians 2:7-9), and that GIFT is "IRREVOCABLE" (Romans 11:28-31) !!! THIS is how you let scripture interpret LIFE!

So, by the Bibles own account, there is CLEARLY no way our present life, nor our future life will EVER endanger that which God holds in the palm of His Hand (John 10:27-30) and sealed by His Holy Spirit (2Corinthians 1:22 ; Ephesians 1:13 ; Ephesians 4:30), our ETERNAL LIFE! And not only is our eternal life secure in the palm of God's hand, but also every other spiritual gift imaginable (Ephesians 1:3)! You'll spend all of your life realizing all the Gifts from God that was given you upon your spiritual birth! NOTHING can be taken from us because of our present life nor our future on this earth! How is this possible? Remember folks. It's all about Christ, realizing WHAT He did for us, and having the FAITH to believe it (If needed, review this entire book up to this point, please)!

Ok... Now, just in case Paul had missed anything, he also told us in the power of The Holy Spirit, that not any power, nothing of any dimensions, nor ANYTHING else in ALL of CREATION could separate us from God, Himself! Oh my brothers and sisters! Paul is going out of his way to do his absolute best with every ounce of Spirit and formal education he has to communicate to EVERY born again believer that there is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING that could POSSIBLY CHANGE anything concerning our relationship with God or our future "IN" Christ!

Right here, right now, you’re going to have to make a decision: Are you going to have the faith and the guts to stand on the plain Truth of the Bible? Or will you cower away in your desertion of the Word of God? It's hard for me to sum this up in harsh terms like this, but the way I see it, I have no other choice if I want to communicate to you how important your decision right here, right now is, to your Joy and your understanding of your Freedom in Christ. If you drive your stake on the side of the line of faith? Your life will change and so will your ability to communicate Truth to others. Your Light within you will blaze to the point it cannot be ignored. Drive your stake on the side of the line that accommodates false teaching and tradition? Then saTan will certain lead you astray in error in almost every area of your life, being full of ups and downs you'll never understand. You'll be blown about by the wind until Christ comes to scoop you up to the Marriage Supper of The Lamb and lines you out.

Right here... Right now... I pray for you to understand via The Holy Spirit the dimensions of infinity as you come to understand the Love God has for you. Properly understanding this will most definitely make all the difference to you in "this world". Amen.

Have you become convinced in your own heart that NOTHING can separate you from the love of God?
"For Christ's love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died..." ~ 2Corinthians 5:14
What was it that "compelled" (definition: to drive or urge forcefully or irresistibly) Paul? Simply, it is "Christ's love". So what would you say is to compel us in our own, personal, daily lives? Yep. You guessed it: Christ's love. It is so easy in this flesh to get discouraged in this world because of all the trials and tribulations, even to the point of wanting to give up. Do you think this author has never been there? Think again. But it was before I fully understood the love Christ has for me... My God, what an incredible thing to know! It is only the love Christ has for me and you that gets us through these trials and enables us, as Paul wrote in Romans 8, to become even more than CONQUERORS! Folks? Please listen. Sometimes the Truth of one paragraph can change your whole life if you realize the power of the Truth that is within it! And THIS, is one of those paragraphs! Amen!
Even in the absolute worst of circumstances, we can count on the love of God to be "patient" with us ~ to be "kind" to us! We can count on God to NEVER KEEP RECORDS OF OUR WRONGS! Were it any other way dear friends, we wouldn't stand a chance in this humanity that vexes us every day in the flesh, concerning any security we're to have at all in our eternal future. Thank God that our Spirit's are sealed by the Holy Spirit!
When times are bad, or even when times are good, the only constant we can depend on is God's love for us. Through this study of the love of God, can you see why it is so important to realize that part of your identity in Christ is that you are totally loved by Him? I certainly hope so. I pray it to be so... Not because I have written any of this, but because it is the most important thing God will ever want you to know! Everything about you from here out will hinge on your ability and willingness to accept these Truths by faith as your own, in that all of this is a tremendous love letter to you from Christ, Himself. He loves you my family. Jesus loves you. This I know. For the Bible tells me so. I pray you come to understand it. Oh God how I pray your mind and heart be opened to the most powerful thing in all of creation: God's love for you!
"My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you..." ~ John 15:12
Oh wow. Oh brother and sister. Remember the choices above in where we will drive our stakes? Maybe this portion of scripture can further serve to help you make up your minds about where you will drive your stake.

A COMMANDMENT OF CHRIST, just so happens to be one of "love". Isn't that just incredible? Of all the things He could've said, Christ wants us all to love... but not just love in "normal" human terms. Christ commands us to love each other in the exact same way He loves us. Wow... Is this an impossibility? Well? Maybe. If you don't understand the love God Christ has for you? Then yes, it will remain a mystery to you and it will remain impossible for you to love ANYONE with "The Love of Christ"! Now how many times have you said, "I don't really care for him/her, but I love them 'in the Lord'." ??? Hmmm? Well? Do you really? Hopefully this has shed enough Light on the subject for you to know that if you find yourself in a place where you cannot totally love someone, then most likely, you don't "know" the Love Christ has for you. You're just wishing you did. But after reading all of this my friend, you don't have to "wish" anymore. Christ has just answered one of you ongoing prayers. He has just enabled you to finally understand His love for you, that you may now know how to really love another. From this moment on, you have the resource to learn what it is to be able to really love EVERYONE in the TRUTH of The Spirit! Isn't that incredible? Most important to you though, is the fact that you can now understand how God loves you... It's amazing.
"How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And THAT is WHAT we are!" ~ 1John 3:1
My, oh my, oh my, oh my! How does God "lavish" His love on us? By calling us His Children! We are bonafide children of God and we have the right to proclaim it to the world! Do we really understand what a precious honor this is for us? Never could we deserve such a thing! Yet He gives us EVERYTHING! Now does God love us, or what?

Oh my brothers and sisters "IN" Christ... We have such an incredible identity in Christ. To be a child of God is an identity given to us by His Grace (Jesus Christ/Titus 2:11-14), and it is more wonderful than we could ever imagine. Thank God He did not leave this mystery of His love up to our imaginations! Amen? Knowing who you are in Christ enables you to know you are totally loved and accepted by God. Please, do not settle for anything less in your understanding and faith! Don't allow saTan and the world to tell you that you are something other than a child of God! It is an identity based on God's Absolute Truth, and you can rest assured that it will NEVER change!

Glory to God in the highest! Worthy is The Lamb of God, Jesus Christ, Who is all things, to all men and women! It's all about Jesus my family! When I say, "It's ALL Jesus!", the contents of this book is what I mean!

Truly when Jesus uttered His last words of prophesy on the cross that encompassed even His resurrection, He was not talking about His earthly life! He was talking about His mission, which was to save man kind! Truly, His words will forever LIVE in eternity! And what were those powerful words?

"IT IS FINISHED!"

(Pt.9) You Are Found "Not Guilty" In Christ!

Jesus balanced the scales of justice... 
Justice demanded by a Holy Judge.

To be "justified" means to be "made right" with God... To be found "Not Guilty!" by the Good and Perfect Judge, God Himself! You see, every good judge must seek justice for all wrong doing. God is no different. Sin demands punishment. God MUST punish sin.

Our identity before coming to Christ was that of a sinner. As it says in Ephesians 2:3, "We were by nature objects of wrath." Having being born Jesus balanced the scales of justice... Justice demanded by a Holy Judge.into sin, we were cut off from the life of God. However, through the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, we have been brought back into a "right relationship" with God. Because Jesus took all our sin, paid the price for it on the cross (our preparation unto salvation), and GAVE us HIS righteousness, we can now stand "justified" (found not guilty) before God!

Let's ask ourselves a few questions that requires a little honesty here if you don't mind.
  • Have we ever looked upon a person with lust? I'll admit I have. So? According to God's Law, what does that make me? An adulterer.
  • Have we ever stolen anything? I have. So what am I? A thief.
  • Has anything ever been more important to me than God? There have been times in my life when God was last on my list. What does that make me? An idolater.
  • Have we ever told a lie, no matter how "small" the lie? I'm guilty again. So what does that make me? A liar.
Ok. I'll stop there. No need to go any further... No matter what "your" answers were, if you find yourself guilty of any ONE of God's Laws, the bible says you are guilty of breaking them all!

So by my own admission, I'm an adulterer, a thief, and idolater, and a liar.

Now let's say I stood before God for judgment. I know God is a loving, caring and forgiving God, and I am very, VERY sorry for what I've done. I'm so sorry for what I've done, I'm ready to promise never to do it again, and mean it!

So when I get before the Judge, I say, "Your Honor? I am guilty of all these things. I do not deny that. But I am very sorry for what I've done. Please forgive me. I promise I will NEVER do them again!". The Judge hears your plea, but being a good Judge, he cannot let your wrong doing go unpunished. There must be a sentence of punishment.

"You should be sorry for what you've done." the Judge says. "The price that must be paid for your transgressions... is death." Standing in the wake of your judgment, what will you do now?

Right then and there, in walks Someone that petitions the Judge on your behalf. "Your Honor? My name is Jesus. I take all the blame for the list of transgressions before you. I will give all that is required by the Law in order to pay the penalty in full." He then pays the price for your sin, satisfying the requirements of a perfect Law, and a Righteous Judge.

"Very well." says the Judge. ? Another has come forth and accepted the blame for these sins and paid the price for them. This Judge finds you not guilty. You are free to go." As you hear what has happened, and as the price is paid for your sin... How would that make you feel? How do you feel toward the One that accepted your blame as His own and paid your price? Folks? If that doesn't bring you to your knees in love and adoration for Christ, then you are totally missing the point, and quite honestly, you need to re-evaluate your situation, as it may well be you just "think" you're saved... If this doesn't move you with great compassion and appreciation, most likely you are not saved at all.

But wait? He paid the price... You're free to go... But where?

Through the first Adam's sin, mankind was left spiritually separated from God. Mankind inherited a "sin" nature, which guarantees you to be nothing more than a sinner. So? Two things had to be done in order for us to be saved... First we had to be justified before God. Jesus did that on the cross of Calvary. He took the blame for the sin of the world... every sin... and then He paid the Price for that sin... with His life's blood. Sadly, that's where the message of salvation stops in many pulpits across this globe. How sad, because it is an incomplete message. The price Jesus paid for our sin was our "preparation" for salvation... not salvation itself, because we are still spiritually "dead" so to speak, though our sin has been justified. Do you understand what I'm saying? Before the cross, we were two things: Sinners and dead. After the cross we are only one thing: Dead.

You see? Being "sorry" for what you've done and "doing good" from here on out, and begging for forgiveness isn't good enough to get salvation because even though the fine has been paid, you are still "dead". That is NOT salvation. You still need "LIFE"... You/WE still need LIFE!

"But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from the wrath of God through Him. For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life. And not only this, but we also exult in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation." - Romans 5:8-11

Salvation can come only through the One that can give you life, as well as pay your fine. In the scripture above, three specific things are mentioned, each different from the other: (1) "Justification" by the sacrifice of Jesus; being (2) "Saved" by Jesus, and both of them together (justification and being saved) equals (3) "reconcilement" unto God through Jesus!

Jesus paid your fine over 2000 years ago, preparing us for salvation. The price Jesus paid for you can only be accounted on your behalf if Jesus "knows" you. And the only way He will "know" you is for you to invite Him into your heart and life, seeking and accepting the "life" He gives, demonstrated in His Resurrection from the Grave! You see, even if your sin has been paid for, you still need life! You STILL need LIFE! Jesus said only HE is "the Way, the Truth, and the Life!", John 14:6 .

So in short? Salvation is accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, believing that He is the Son of God who died in payment for your sin (in fact, the sin of the "whole world" - EVERY sin) and THAT HIS payment was the ONLY payment that could pay such a price, and that He (Jesus) was resurrected unto life eternal and that He gives this life to all that seek (life) and accept HIM, of which personal repentance for who you are/were (a sinner) is a part of that acceptance of Christ! You cannot turn to Christ, without turning away from your old self. Seeking and receiving "LIFE” in Christ"? Now THAT'S salvation!

If you will? Please drive a stake right here and let this premise of what salvation really is be a backdrop for what we are about to study and realize in scripture. I can promise you, you just may find inspiration to spend the rest of your life in this Word of God... It is quite remarkable!

To be justified means to be made right with God. Our identity before coming to Christ was that of a sinner - we were objects of wrath according to Ephesians 2:3. Having been born into sin, we were cut off from the life of God. However, through the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, we have been "brought back" into a right relationship with God! Because Jesus took all of our sin and gave us HIS righteousness, we stand justified before God! What an incredible Savior we have in Jesus! Amen!

Romans 5:18, "So then as through one transgression there resulted condemnation to all men, even so through one act of righteousness there resulted justification of life to all men."

What was the result of one man's sin according to the scripture above? Plainly It says condemnation for all  men (and women) was the result of one man's sin. It affects everyone. No one is left out.

On the flip-side of that, what was the result of one act of righteousness? Again, very plainly, scripture says "justification that brings life to  all  men (and women)" was the result of Jesus' sacrifice for us all! How many people did it affect? Everyone!

Jesus was the only One that could perform this one act of righteousness. No one else was worthy. Through His Gift to us (the whole world), our sin has been justified. We, as born again believers, have been made "right" with God, by accepting Jesus' Gift (HIS Righteousness) to be counted on our behalf!

Titus 3:7, " ...so that being justified by His grace we would be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life. "

We have been justified by Grace, through faith (Ephesians 2:7-9). Once we become justified, we become "HEIRS WITH CHRIST!" Is that not amazing? Being an heir with Christ means we share in all things Christ has! How overwhelming to the human mind! And according to the scripture above, what is our hope my friends? What do we have to look forward to in the sharing of all this? It is eternal life! Amen! Eternal life! What a wonderful Savior we have in Jesus my friends and family! For through HIM all these things are possible! Without Him, we couldn't even dream of this!

Now there are those among us that would say I'm preaching universal salvation here. Well? Am I? Go back and re-read Romans 5:18... Doesn't it say that one act of righteousness justified"ALL"  men? Dear friends? ... If the sacrifice of Jesus alone is salvation, then truly Romans 5:18 would tell us that everyone is already saved. The doctrine of universal salvation would be true! No ifs, ands, or buts. This is where I'd like to drive an uncomfortable reality for many people home, for many are taught in error: Jesus' sacrifice on the cross for the sin of the world (every sin that has been, or ever will be committed) alone is not salvation. It was our "preparation" for salvation. Through Jesus' work on the cross, salvation was made possible, in that the penalty for the sin of the world was paid.

"If the sacrifice of Jesus alone is salvation, then truly Romans 5:18 would tell us that everyone is already saved. The doctrine of universal salvation would be true!"

But? As I hope we all come to understand, the Sacrifice for sin in itself is not the complete process to obtain salvation. We must also repent (Luke 13:3), believe in Jesus (John 3:15-16), and realize that JESUS ONLY offers us LIFE, to which we must receive ( Romans 5:16-18 ; Romans 6:23 ; Romans 8:11 ; 2 Corinthians 3:6 ; Colossians 3:3-4 ; 1Timothy 6:13 ; James 1:12 ; Romans 5:8-11 ) ! Friends? THIS is salvation! It includes loving Jesus, worshiping Jesus, adoring Jesus, wanting to please Jesus, obeying Jesus as best we can, listening to Jesus, having a personal, intimate relationship with Jesus, being committed to Jesus... ALL these things! All this will happen within the heart of a person once they really and truly accept Jesus into their hearts!

I can say that it was a very important thing to me when I realized I had eternal life in Jesus. As a matter of fact, it shocked me to realize how important it was to me. But friends? Beyond a shadow of a doubt, even if there were no such thing as Heaven or Eternal Life in Christ... even if I knew I would never make it to Heaven, I would still serve Jesus as best I can... simply because I love Him. I love Jesus just for Who He is... Can we all say that same thing? The reason I ask is because if the only reason we serve Jesus is for fire insurance, you may unwittingly find out you never had that fire insurance. There is more to turning to Jesus than just the insurance. In all reality? With Jesus, there is no such thing as "insurance". But there is such a thing as "assurance"! Jesus assures us that we will live forever with Him! Amen! How absolutely wonderful!

Justification is a free gift to us as believers in Christ. I do hope we come to understand just what it means to be a "believer". Justification is not based on our abilities to observe the Law of God, though we will inevitably desire to do so (and we will fail to be perfect in our best of efforts). Justification can only be received by faith in what Christ did on our behalf.

" ...nevertheless knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the Law but through faith in Christ Jesus, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, so that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the Law; since by the works of the Law no flesh will be justified. " - Galatians 2:16

This wonderful scripture clearly tells us that no man will be justified by observing the Law. It also says that a person is justified ONLY through our faith in Jesus! We can't be justified by observing the Law, because we can't keep the Law! Oh yes friends. We want to... Some of us desperately want to because we love and adore our Savior, Jesus... but in all our best efforts... we fall short... What a wonderful Savior we have in that even through our imperfections, Jesus has saved us! HE has saved us! We are saved! Glory to God! We are saved!

LIFE is salvation. Grace through faith in Jesus is the way. 
Not one second in eternity with God can be earned... OR BEGGED FOR! 
Through Christ, it has already been done!
 
" You have been severed from Christ, you who are seeking to be justified by law; you have fallen from Grace. " - Galatians 5:4
Oh friends and family! Please listen here very closely... Please pray and ask the Holy Spirit Himself to place the Truth of the scripture above into your heart forever! Search this out for a Truth that will forever change your life and set you free in Christ Jesus!

What is this scripture in Galatians 5:4 above telling us? It is telling us that if we are trying to be justified by Law, then we have fallen away from Jesus ... in essence been "alienated" from Christ! Oh my God! Enable us to understand! When all this comes together in our hearts, minds and spirits, we should be able to understand there is absolutely no way we can try to be justified by the Law and, at the same time, rest in the fact that we have been justified by faith in Jesus Christ!

For those of us within the body of Christ that mis-understand or have been taught in error in that we try to be justified by the Law (our works), we very much need to realize that the Bible says we have "fallen from Grace" (Jesus Christ)! You see? That is how Jesus is there for us! That's why we call Him "Savior"! That's how He has SAVED us! HE, and only HE (Jesus Christ) has given us of Himself (Grace) !!!

"For those of us within the body of Christ that mis-understand or have been taught in error in that we try to be justified by the Law (our works), we very much need to realize that the Bible says we have "fallen from Grace" (Jesus Christ)!"

As plainly as the nose on our own faces, the Bible tells us here in Galatians 5:4 that when we try to mix Law and Grace (known as Galatianism) we have been ALIENATED from Jesus Christ and have FALLEN from Grace (Jesus Christ) ! So many people erroneously  think to "fall from Grace" means you have lost your salvation, when in reality it means you are trying to "EARN" through your good works what Christ has already provided for you... GRACE!

Now I will leave that one point for you to ponder personally, but any way you look at it, that is some pretty strong verbiage from the Bible! In the context of Galatians 5:4 the term "fallen away" means to be alienated from God in terms of personal relationship and quite possibly your salvation because you are not relying on JESUS ONLY for your salvation, or you do not fully understand and acknowledge everything Jesus has already did for you! Some of us think we must continually hang and re-hang Jesus on that cross to get forgiveness of our sin, like what He did for us wasn't good enough the first time, or that what He did did not stand good for the sins of the future! What a horrible mis-understanding and effective wile of the enEmy, saTan! This mis-understanding only leads one around in a never-ending circle that leaves us only able to chase our own tail... With this understanding, you could never say, It's all Jesus!" Amen? Or "Oh me!"?

So, my friends... In light of the last two verses of scripture from the Holy Bible, does the Law play any role in our justification? Absolutely not. The Law can only serve to teach us we need a Savior! Titus 2:11-14

"Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ..." - Romans 5:1

My dear fellow believers in Christ... Can you say this from the very depths of your heart? Have you came to know Jesus in such a Way that He provides you an unshakable peace? Is He your Rock in the most trying times? Have you came to know that your salvation is HIS to keep and not YOURS to manipulate? Can you trust Jesus enough to know that when you're mad enough, mixed up enough, mis-taught enough, untaught enough that you don't know which way is up or down that HE is able to hold onto your salvation? Can you see that HE has said many times (in places we have yet not yet examined in this expose') that HE ONLY can be trusted with your salvation and that HE is faithful even though we are so unfaithful, despite our best (and even sometimes not-so-best) efforts? Realizing Who Jesus is... What He is... What He has said... What He has promised... THESE are the only things that will provide you with unwavering peace, my friend. Despite popular belief, THIS is a peace that can be fully understood by the children of God (Colossians 2:1-3). THIS understanding in Truth will bring you total peace in that It will calm ANY storm in your heart!

Should we still respect God? By all means, yes! If we don't hold a natural, heart deep respect for Him... Friends? You don't have God within you at all. BUT... as a believer in Christ, we don't have any reason to FEAR Him anymore, in the context that we need be AFRAID of Him... In all that God has said He is to us, and all that He has said we are to Him, what could we possibly have to be afraid of? Only the lost have anything to be afraid of... And what they have at stake is their eternal judgment as objects of wrath. Now THAT is something so terrible... something to be afraid of... so horrible, I don’t think we can begin to wrap our minds around it! How so very horrible it would be to spend an eternity in the Lake of Fire! Oh God! Deliver all who hearkens unto Your voice in answer to Your call~!

But... As children of God? Heirs to Jesus Christ Himself?

"What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who is against us? He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him over for us all, how will He not also with Him freely give us all things? Who will bring a charge against God's elect? God is the one who justifies; who is the one who condemns? Christ Jesus is He who died, yes, rather who was raised, who is at the right hand of God, who also intercedes for us. " - Romans 8:31-34

Thank You my precious Lord Jesus... Isn't all this wonderful Truth from our own treasured Holy Bible just exciting? Amen! Since we have been justified as born again believers in Christ, we are told that, "God is for us!" Glory to God only! Now if GOD is FOR us, it doesn't matter who or what is against us, does it? NO! Glory to God only! Can anyone now accuse you? Only saTan will now try, but even he will be ineffective! Glory to God only! Since God Himself has declared us totally righteous, does it matter what saTan or anyone else says? No one stands against God! It doesn't matter one iota!

"...for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, being justified as a gift by His Grace through the redemption which is in Christ Jesus;" - Romans 3:23-24

How many people have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God? Every one of us! Every human being that has ever been, save Jesus Christ, Himself! According to this blessed holy scripture, these same people are justified freely by His Grace through the redemption that came by Jesus Christ! Glory to God alone! Only Jesus Himself can offer this redemption, therefore the only glory to be had in all this belongs to Jesus Christ! Glory to God alone! If each and every one of us are justified in the very same way, this will definitely affect the way we see others, will it not? There will be none any better than the other... no worse than any other... all of us saved the very same way... through Christ ALONE! Glory to God alone!

Friends? Being made right with God, or said another way, justified, not only affects our relationship with God, but also our relationship with others. Your right-standing before God "frees" you to enjoy that perfect fellowship with Him. It is much easier to be at peace with man when you know you are at peace with God. Amen & Amen.

I do hope and pray that each and everyone is taking Joy learning of who we are in Christ. For me? There is an excitement lit within me that is unquenchable! I learn daily of yet something else Jesus has provided for us. With every new horizon reached in understanding, there lay yet another far-off horizon to reach! I am fully convinced than when God tells us He is eternal, He was not only speaking of time, He was speaking of His essence... I truly believe there to be no end to the knowledge and wisdom of God...

I do hope you continue to journey with me in the expose', in that the next topic I have planned in Part 10 is, "You Are A Part Of The Body Of Christ"! Chances are there will be some things exposed you maybe didn't stop to realize before. I know it has been an eye-opening adventure for me!

You Are Sanctified!
 In Search Of Our Identity (Part 8)
Questions Answered

To be sanctified means to be "set apart" or to be "made Holy". As a child of God, you have been made 100% Holy by and ONLY by the blood of Jesus. Despite differences of opinion, the Bible clearly tells us that holiness is not something we can attain by our own good works. Like salvation, holiness is a free gift that is given to all who put the faith in Christ Jesus.

"...yet He has now reconciled you in His fleshly body through death, in order to present you before Him holy and blameless and beyond reproach --" - Colossians 1:22

Here's some foundational Truth concerning our identity in Christ. CHRIST... notice God's Word says "CHRIST" reconciled us to God through His physical death. As a result of ONLY this action by Jesus, we are now seen as a "Holy" person! We will NEVER again be condemned by God because we are forever now seen as "holy, blameless, and BEYOND REPROACH!" Glory! Is it starting to dawn on you yet just how magnificent the work of Christ toward us as Savior really is? Glory to His Name!
"...who has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was granted us in Christ Jesus from all eternity..." ~ 2 Timothy 1:9
This passage of scripture is perfectly clear. We ARE called to a "Holy" life. But are we Holy because of ANYTHING we have done? Not according to scripture, which means the Truth of the matter is, our holiness cannot ever come from our actions, but our holiness is ALWAYS provided ONLY by God's purpose for us, and God's Grace, which is in and through Jesus Christ!

The "reason" we are made Holy is for God's own purpose. You know what that is? God wanted to save us from an eternity in hell! God wants us to be with HIM forever! God wants to USE us in what time we have left! THAT'S God own purpose! Amen & Amen! And God provided this even before the beginning of time (eternity)... That kinda tells us we've never caught Him by surprise doesn't it? I know it's impossible for us to understand "how" God knows all this, but through faith? We "know" it never-the-less. Glory to our Father! What a God!

So... Could "we" ever have anything to boast about concerning our "holiness?" Could we EVER live in such a way as to be considered "holy" by our own doing? No rocket science to it... Absolutely not! But what we will experience is our flesh being more and more "subdued" by the Holy Spirit of God, bringing even surprise to ourselves sometimes. We will grow in the character of Christ... We will mature... We will go from m ilk to the meat... Our minds and hearts will be continually transformed... And the speed at which this will occur will depend greatly on your desire to "submit" yourself to God's Instruction... THAT is "living by the Spirit"! What a glorious process to behold... a treasure beyond compare... an honor... An Honor to participate as a child of God! Thank You Jesus!
"By this will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all." - Hebrews 10:10
Oh... My... GOD! No, I'm not using the Lord's Name in vain here! Folks? Can you see the Good News all over this scripture? The sheer POWER of the totality of Christ's Work toward us is incredible! For many, it's unbelievable (sadly)... Friends? There is enough power in this one verse to alter your life forever if you'll just hear what has been said!

We... are ...made ... HOLY through the sacrifice of the Body of Jesus Christ... ONCE AND FOR ALL! Precious Lord! Could that one statement be perfectly true?!!? Think about something please... What does, "Once and FOR ALL" mean to you? To me? It says that our "holiness" has been provided by Jesus Christ from now on, without end! ... Forever! It is FINISHED! This kinda suggests our "holiness is COMPLETE" doesn't it? Ummm... YEAH!

Now one more question: "Is there anything you as a man or a woman can do that would overpower what Jesus did here for our holiness?" Are you more powerful than God? Can you change the "once and for all" part with any human element in your possession? Well friends. Some may think they can, but I rest in knowing that what God hath put together, no man shall separate! Amen! Romans 6:10, Hebrews 7:27, Hebrews 9:12, Hebrews 10:10, 1 Peter 3:18, Jude 1:3, Jude 1:5 ! ...and Amen!

Friends and family? In light of all these "once and for alls" and all the other Truth in Scripture presented up to this point, are you willingly ready to continue to present your teaching of mis-understanding of that one verse that would put God's people back on that "performance treadmill" that is ever-so-similar to the one the Jews trod on before the Messiah ever came to us? If so? Shame on you. Shame on you indeed! That may be strong verbiage, but not nearly as strong as what the Bible says. The Word of God says that "to anyone, man or angel, that would teach a different gospel, may he be accursed!" ...

"But even if we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you a gospel contrary to what we have preached to you, he is to be accursed! As we have said before, so I say again now, if any man is preaching to you a gospel contrary to what you received, he is to be accursed! For am I now seeking the favor of men, or of God? Or am I striving to please men? If I were still trying to please men, I would not be a bond-servant of Christ." - Galatians 1:8-10

Like I said... Strong verbage... But this is an important topic.

"For both He who sanctifies and those who are sanctified are all from one Father; for which reason He is not ashamed to call them brethren..." - Hebrews 2:11

Look at this scripture for a moment please. What family is referred to here? The family of God. How can Jesus be called our "Brother"? Because He (Jesus) who sanctifies, and those who are sanctified (you and I) are all from one Father. If we are part of the same family with Jesus and Jesus is our Brother, how should this affect our relationship(s) with other believers? Should we not all consider ourselves all of the same family? If it relies ONLY on what Jesus has done for us (provided our sanctification), are we not of the same family? Friends? Yes we are. That Truth cannot be changed whether we believe it or not, understand it or not, dis-agree with it or not... It doesn't matter... Truth says we are ALL, as believers, in the same family of God!

"To the church of God which is at Corinth, to those who have been sanctified in Christ Jesus, Saints by calling, with all who in every place call on the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, their Lord and ours:" - 1Corinthians 1:2

The Corinthian church as you may know, had many problems. Paul wrote 1st and 2nd Corinthians to address these problems. One of the major concerns of Paul was the sexual immorality that was being tolerated. Despite the severe immorality that was going on within the Corinthian church, Paul still identifies them in his address by "those sanctified in Christ Jesus and called to be holy". Now that's a far cry from how most churches would approach things such as that today, huh?

Despite being acutely aware of the conditions of extreme immorality within the Christian Church at Corinth, Paul still reinforces the fact that they "ARE SANCTIFIED IN CHRIST and called to be Holy!" Now to back step just a second, what were they called to be? That's right. HOLY! Let's ponder something for a second... According to this scripture, what do ALL of us that have called on the name of Jesus have in common? Without doubt, the commonality is, we are ALL in the family of God! I don't know about you all folks, but I myself will never get over this. I mean, I enjoy this life as much as the next person, but it pales ever-so-much knowing that when this is all over (I die and leave this earth) that I have an eternity to look forward to that is so wonderful it can't enter the mind of man (and we have some pretty smart people on this earth)!

Realizing within your mind and heart that you ARE holy, not that you must "work" for the status, should begin to totally transform your life... IF it is important to you at all... I mean, isn't it wonderful to know that Jesus has already done what many men teach you have to attain on your own? Your Holiness? Taken care of? THAT'S part of what man should mean when he speaks of man's Saviour, Jesus Christ! Amen!

"Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself up for her, so that He might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word, that He might present to Himself the church in all her glory, having no spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that she would be holy and blameless." - Ephesians 5:25-27

Here, the Bible says Christ gave Himself for us as an act of love. That's amazing in itself, but here's what many in the world fail to understand: The RESULT of this action is what makes us holy! When Christ died for us on the cross and was raised from the dead into life, the avenue to be made holy was provided right then and there! All that was then needed is for us to accept It! THAT's where our holiness lies folks! In the works of CHRIST! Not the works of Matt! Not the works of Grant! Not the works of Markus, James, or anyone else! Our holiness does NOT rely on the works of man in ANY fashion! It's ALL JESUS! People have been wondering for years what I mean when I say, "It's all about Jesus." This expose', when concluded in it's 13 chapters, will explain just what I was saying... And yes, it really is that simple.

Look at some of the adjectives used in this passage describing US, the people that have been born again in Christ! In this scripture alone:
  • HOLY
  • RADIANT
  • CLEANSED
  • WITHOUT STAIN, WRINKLE, OR ANY OTHER BLEMISH
  • BLAMELESS
Please examine this list and ask yourself is it possible that YOU, through all your works, could EVER achieve this? If you're honest with yourself, and according to God, the answer is, "No". And that goes for each and every one of us! But in reading this scripture, isn't it wonderful to realize that CHRIST has done it for you? Amen! Yes it is! It will transform your mind, and thus your life if you let it! Imagine a life where you no longer have to worry about "measuring up" to the standards of holiness (perfection) through the various performances on the various treadmills "religion" would seek to impose on you! Glory to God! Now THAT is DELIVERANCE! Amen!

Will you continue to "chase your own tail" 
by continually asking for Christ's forgiveness 
that has already been given you?
 
So. If GOD sees us this way, would it be presumptuous to see ourselves in the same way? Absolutely not! As a matter of fact, God WANTS you to realize this! He WANTS you to understand what JESUS did for you! I am quite sure it breaks His heart to see His children unknowingly sell Jesus short of what He accomplished! Also, by fully realizing what Jesus has done for us, we no longer will waste time in a vicious circle trying to obtain what we've already been given... Holiness! THEN, we can move continually forward in the ministry God intended for us all! Instead of needlessly chasing our own tails in that we continually are begging forgiveness for that which we've already been forgiven, we can spend our time THANKING God for the forgiveness we already have! AND we can now pray about other matters that are forefront in our lives at the moment!
Folks? This whole expose' is so we can all discover within ourselves a wonderful, life-changing Truth that is thousands of years old in relation to our physical reality, but It is timeless Truth in eternity. Please give this entire series it's due, in that you'll save it, re-read it, take your time in study of this Truth about your salvation if you have been truly saved by Jesus...

"Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God. Such were some of you; but you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit of our God." - 1Corinthians 6:9-11

Scriptures such as these frequently throw people for loops in their understanding of their future because they do not know for certain what scripture reveals about our "New Identity in Christ". Here is why:

According to these verses, who will not inherit the Kingdom of God? You can go through the list. It's a long one isn't it? Now, do you see yourself "in the flesh" anywhere in there? I do. The Corinthians most certainly could... To be brutally honest? You should be able to see yourself in there too. Scary? You bet! Had it not been for our Savior, we wouldn't stand a chance. The reason I say that is, notice what Paul also says about our identity. After all, the Corinthians and us... we have alot in common don't we? Maybe our flesh is much more subdued to the things of Christ than these Corinthians were, but we're still far from perfection aren't we?

In the same breath, Paul told the Corinthians that all those evil things is what they "were" (past tense). Now it may strike many of you as strange, as it first did me, that Paul would say these Corinthians were no longer unrighteous in their fornications, their idolatry, adulteries, their "girly-man" actions, homosexuality, thieving, covetousness, drunkenness, reviling, swindling etc., etc., etc. . Now were these Corinthians still participating in this stuff? This perversion? Yes they were! Yet their "Identity In Christ" is secure! They are born again! They are saved! Hey... Don't get upset with me... It's the Bible that says it, not me.

Now that most of you are really upset, let's shed some light on a few other things, shall we? Now what has just been described here? "A license to sin!" you might say... Well? Let's see what else Paul had to say. You see, we fail to understand much of what the Bible has to offer us because we don't take the time nor put in the effort to grasp it in it's entirety! Too many times we stop short in our studies and miss the main points of many a conversation in the Bible! Let's not do that here. Let's get it all... We need to. We need to understand our Identity in Christ before we can clearly understand anything else in the proper perspective, which is "God's Perspective"!

"He who steals must steal no longer; but rather he must labor, performing with his own hands what is good, so that he will have something to share with one who has need." - Ephesians 4:28

Ok. Take a look at this Scripture, please. What is God's response to a child of God who has stolen? Well? ... ... . He instructs us we must steal no longer, but work, so we will have even something to share with others! Does he call such a person a thief? Noooo! He couldn't call us a thief, as that would contradict who we are, which is a person inherent to the Kingdom of God! But let's not lose sight of why we are Saints... It's was only by our acceptance of Jesus Christ, and Jesus being who He is that enables that!

Again, what does God tell us to do if we have been stealing? He tells us plainly to "steal no longer". God says, "Work!, so you can GIVE!" God clearly teaches us that He wants us to bear fruit, and we must realize we CAN bear the fruit if we'll learn of God and His ways, and humble ourselves to the authority of The Holy Spirit inside us. For if the Holy Spirit is inside you, He will let you know when you do wrong, and He will want you to "change your ways" (repent)!  So? Why fight it? Why be miserable? REPENT-> (agree with God that you have done wrong)<-! And experience the blessings of God through the fruits that will come forth through you as God's Tool! Amen!

Now don't you find it odd God doesn't say, "Get on your knees straight away and beg Me for My forgiveness!" ??? It might surprise you to know the Bible never tell us anywhere in it's text for us to beg for forgiveness. Why should you beg for something that was given over 2000 years ago? The knowledge of this fact is more than clearly displayed in Jesus Himself when he made the statement in John 3:18, that "sin" is "unbelief in Jesus!" There was many a call unto the Lord to restore the "Joy" of salvation, but never was there a call to restore "salvation".

Rather than a standard to be lived up to, the holiness of God is a "Gift" that has been given to all who believe on the Lord, Jesus Christ. As we have clearly seen, whether or not we want to humble ourselves to it, we are sanctified ONLY through our faith in Jesus Christ, NOT by our "good works"! Therefore, our "identity" is based on what HE has done rather than what "we" do! And I for one am dog gone glad of it!

God does not "need" us to carry out His work in this world. Yet, in His sovereignty, He has "chosen" to "use" us. Through sanctification, He has "set us apart" for that purpose. We are a VERY PRIVILEGED people, knowing that God, at any time, can and will use us to share His Life and Love to those around us.

Is it starting to mean a little more now when you say, "Glory to You Father God! You alone are WORTHY!" ??? Amen & Amen!
